lyrics

I admit I made some pretty big mistakes
And hurt you more than I can say
Or begin to contemplate
But the events of these, the past three years
The cacophony of whispering peers
Has left me with two deaf and burning ears

I know your face, I know your name
Inside you're not the same
So I must inquire...

Who the fuck are you?
And where'd she go off to?
What happened to that girl I used to know?
Did you take her life?
When you hastily became a wife
To the first boring chump
Pretending to know who she was

And these days I find the memories
Relentlessly they're haunting me
In dreams I live an unfamiliar life
It's like a tangent universe I'm in
A chance to start over again
A harsh glimpse at what might have been

Had I not had such shit for brains
I know your face and name
Still, it's no excuse...

I thought you were stronger than that
I thought you a good head on your shoulders
But you gave in so easily
For the approval of mother and father

You've become what
You've become what
You've become what you never wanted to be
You've become what you never thought you would be
You've become what you always said that you would never be
You've become ordinary

So!
Who the fuck are you?
And where'd she go off to?
What happened to that girl I used to know?
Did you take her life?
When you hastily became a wife
To the first boring chump
Pretending to know who she was
Ordinary girl

about

Big In Japan Reno, Nevada

We came, we saw, we released our first album in 2001... And then we found out there was another Big In Japan from the UK in the late 70s. They're good, too! Oops! The internet wasn't that ubiquitous back in 2001, and even though we love punk-post-punk-new-wave-etc. from their region and time period, we missed them somehow. Any bands started beyond 2010 really have no excuse for aping a name. ... more
